The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is a public corporation and is now the UK’s independent aviation regulator. This site covers all the roles and responsibilities of the CAA in great detail, in particular the measures carried out by the CAA that make flying a safe pastime.

The World Air Sports Federation is a non-governmental and non-profit making international organisation with the basic aim of furthering aeronautical and astronautical activities worldwide. This extensive site contains information on all things airbourne. A good site covering all airsports at an international level.

The Competition Club is directly affiliated with the BBAC. This site explains in depth the sport of competition ballooning. It also reviews past and present competitions giving information on the pilots and officials involved.

The BBAC is a volunteer based organisation that exists to promote the disciplines of Hot Air Ballooning, Gas Ballooning, and Airship flying. This site contains information about the history of the BBAC and how to get started in ballooning, with good links to affiliated organisations.

BABO is the trade organisation representing holders of UK hot air balloon Air Operator Certificates (AOCs). This site is excellent if you are interested in balloon flight and are looking for a BABO operator in your area.
